About Us
Established in the year 1981, TI School is an offshoot of the philanthropic efforts of the AMM Foundation, envisaged by the visionary Late Shri AMM Murugappa Chettiar alongside five hospitals and 4 other educational institutions. With its humble beginnings, TI School offers best in class education that focuses on holistic student development alongside building socially responsible global citizens, through its well defined mission, quality objectives and measures.
TI School is located on a sprawling, lush green 7.4 acre campus in the heart of Ambattur, a part of greater Chennai. The school caters to the educational needs of the neighbourhood and stands tall in the eyes of its stakeholders for its quality service provision amidst best in class infrastructural facilities and experienced faculty.
Award for Holistic Education
We are delighted to announce that T.I. School has won the India School Merit Award under the CBSE Parameter Wise – Holistic Education category, presented by Education Today.
Among 2167 participating schools, the Top schools were selected based on 15 parameters, including Academic Reputation, Teacher Development, Co-curricular & Sports Education. The award is the result of Jury Ratings, 1,31,000+ Parent Votes, and Education Today’s evaluation.
This recognition stands as a proud testament to our school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing well-rounded learners and delivering high-quality, holistic education.

Ehime Prefecture
The Student Exchange Programme between students of Ehime Prefecture, Japan and T.I. School was successfully conducted on 23 December 2025. The programme commenced at 10:15 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer song by the school choir. Cultural performances including a classical dance, a Japanese dance and a flute recital added colour to the occasion.This was followed by a buddy introduction session in which 11 students of T.I. School were paired with 11 students from Ehime Prefecture. The programme featured engaging guest lectures on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Physics and Chemistry. Post lunch the students visited classrooms and laboratories and participated in a friendly cricket match. The exchange concluded with a valedictory session during which mementos such as a signed bat, personalised key chains, student sketches and T-shirts were exchanged making the programme a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.

General Instructions
• Neat and proper uniform is a must.
• The school gate will be closed at 8:30 a.m. for students of Classes VI to XII.
• The school gate will be closed at 9:00 a.m. for students of Classes I to IV.
• 3 late comings in a month, parents will be called to meet the Section Head.
• Girls must wear two plaits with blue ribbons.
• Shoes (black & white) must be clean and polished.
• Lunch must not be handed over at the gate.
• The 3rd Saturday of every month is a holiday.
• Discipline must be observed by all students at all times, both on and off campus.
• Students are required to communicate in English at all times within the school premises.
